Thigh muscle pain treatment that is safe and simple, sometimes after exercise you may notice that your leg muscles feel tight this can be caused by a build up of blood in the muscle warming down can help to recirculate the blood and lymph fluids back towards your heart, the feeling is like a swelling in your legs that don’t seem to want to go away, this is called blood pooling and it is quite uncomfortable, I have an exercise that may be of use to you if you have ever felt that tightness in your legs on another page on this site I have instructions on how to do the second Jam Jong position this simple exercise that I am going to show you is a variation on the second Jam Jong position;
1 After you have had your workout find a settee or soft armchair or a pouffe lie on your back with your arms in a circle above your chest. Second Jam Jong.
2 Put both of your legs onto the settee, pouffe or chair lie with your legs apart about the width of your shoulders and your back flat on the floor lie in this position for about two minutes holding the imaginary balloon above your chest.
3 After you have been in the position for the required time raise your left thigh and massage it towards your groin from your knees not too hard and not too soft just feel that you are moving the fluids from the knee to your groin, use your imagination at the same time. When you have massaged the left leg for about about 1 to 2 minutes change to the right leg and repeat.
4 Put both your legs back onto the settee,pouffe or chair and place you hands one hand on top of the other and place both hands on what is known as the dantian which is about three finger widths down from the belly button and about two fingers deep inside your belly
The term dantian used by itself usually refers to the lower dantian, which is considered to be the foundation of rooted standing, breathing, and body awareness in Jam Jong Chinese martial arts, and other martial arts. The lower dantian has been described to be “like the root of the tree of life.”
Using your imagination draw the blood and lymph fluids to this point close your eyes and relax, below is a video that gives you a visual of how to do it, don’t worry or stress too much about how accurate you are when doing this because over time your body will adjust to the correct position naturally.
